Purpose

This Content Posting Policy explains what users may and may not submit through TIBS. It is intended to help keep TIBS useful, lawful, and safe for riders, contributors, platform participants, and the public.

Scope

This policy applies to content submitted or shared through TIBS, including:
  • incident reports
  • service reports
  • ride feedback
  • written notes or descriptions
  • ratings, votes, or other community input
  • photos or other uploads where supported
  • any other user-generated content submitted through TIBS services

What TIBS Allows

TIBS is intended for transport-related reporting and rider awareness. Users may submit content that:
  • relates to a real public transport experience, observation, or safety concern
  • is shared in good faith
  • is reasonably accurate to the best of the user’s knowledge
  • focuses on transport operations, service quality, safety, or commuter conditions
  • helps other users understand vehicle, corridor, route, or incident context
Examples of generally permitted content include:
  • reporting dangerous driving
  • reporting unsafe vehicle conditions
  • reporting overcrowding or unsafe stop conditions
  • describing service disruptions or fare irregularities
  • submitting ride feedback about cleanliness, safety, or conduct
  • uploading relevant supporting images where image uploads are supported

User Responsibilities

Anyone posting content on TIBS must:
  • report only what they personally observed, experienced, or reasonably believe to be true
  • keep submissions relevant to the platform’s transport and safety purpose
  • use respectful language
  • avoid exaggeration, speculation, or unsupported accusations
  • avoid including personal information unless it is clearly necessary and appropriate
  • comply with applicable law when using the platform

Prohibited Content

Users must not submit, post, upload, or share content that:
  • is false, intentionally misleading, manipulated, or submitted in bad faith
  • is defamatory, abusive, threatening, harassing, or hateful
  • is designed to shame, target, or incite harm against any person or group
  • includes unnecessary personal information about identifiable individuals
  • includes phone numbers, personal addresses, identification numbers, or other private personal data without a lawful and necessary reason
  • impersonates another person or falsely suggests official verification, approval, or endorsement
  • promotes illegal activity or is used to coordinate harmful conduct
  • contains spam, repetitive submissions, or attempts to manipulate platform visibility or reputation signals
  • contains sexual content, exploitative content, or any content involving child exploitation or abuse
  • violates the TIBS Child Safety & Protection Policy
For child-safety matters, users should also review the TIBS Child Safety & Protection Policy at /legal/child-safety-protection.

Content About Individuals

TIBS is designed to support transport awareness, not personal targeting. Users should focus on:
  • the transport event
  • the vehicle or route context
  • the safety or service issue
  • the time and place of the observation
Users should not use TIBS to:
  • publish unnecessary details about private individuals
  • identify passengers or bystanders without a clear and legitimate reason
  • insult, mock, or shame drivers, crew, riders, or members of the public
  • make criminal or legal accusations as though they were established facts

Photos and Uploads

Where TIBS allows photo or file uploads, users may only upload material that:
  • relates directly to the transport event, ride, or issue being reported
  • they are allowed to share
  • does not unnecessarily expose personal or sensitive information
  • does not put individuals, especially minors, at additional risk
Users must not upload content that:
  • is unrelated to the report or feedback
  • is altered in a misleading way
  • contains graphic, exploitative, or abusive material
  • is sexualized or inappropriate
  • creates avoidable privacy or safety risks for passengers, drivers, crew, or the public

Child Safety

TIBS maintains a zero-tolerance approach to any content or platform use that exploits, harms, or endangers children. Users must not submit content that:
  • depicts or references child exploitation or abuse
  • sexualizes or inappropriately describes minors
  • enables grooming, coercion, or harmful contact involving minors
  • exposes minors to avoidable privacy, safety, or reputational risk
Any suspected violation may be removed immediately and escalated as required by law or platform policy. For more detail, see the TIBS Child Safety & Protection Policy at /legal/child-safety-protection.

Platform Moderation

TIBS currently uses its own moderation systems together with human manual moderators to review content and reduce misuse of the platform. TIBS may:
  • review submitted content
  • delay, limit, remove, or refuse publication of content
  • reduce the visibility of content that appears unreliable, harmful, abusive, or off-topic
  • request clarification where appropriate
  • suspend or restrict users who misuse the platform
TIBS is not required to publish all submitted content.

Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions:
  • content removal
  • reduced visibility of content
  • warnings or temporary restrictions
  • suspension or permanent termination of access
  • restriction from future participation
  • referral to relevant authorities where required by law

TIBS Platform Role

TIBS is a platform for user-submitted transport information and rider awareness. Unless clearly stated otherwise:
  • user submissions are not automatically verified
  • publication on TIBS does not mean TIBS has confirmed the accuracy of a claim
  • content on the platform should not be treated as an official legal finding, government record, or formal accusation
For privacy-related questions, users should also review the TIBS Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy.

Reporting Concerns

Users who encounter content that may violate this policy should report it promptly. In-platform reporting tools may also be used where available.
