# Surveyor

> How survey participation works in TIBS

## Who this is for

The surveyor section is for approved participants involved in structured field
data collection programs.

It is not part of the general public rider experience.

## What surveyors do

Depending on the project, surveyors may:

* start and end assigned field sessions
* work within specific corridors or assignments
* record vehicle and transport observations
* review their own activity history
* manage expenses or payout details where applicable

## Access and participation

Survey participation is controlled. Access may depend on:

* invitation or approval
* project assignment
* required documents or acceptance steps
* active participation status

Surveyor activity helps strengthen the quality and coverage of transport data
used across TIBS services.
